Data migration is the process of importing data into Verto. This can either be completed as a one-off process i.e. to import existing project data into the system for go-live, or as a repeatable process i.e. a regular finance or risk import.
Types of Data Migration
There are two ways in which data can be imported into Verto:
- Single or ‘one-off’ data import: This type of import is usually completed as part of the initial Verto implementation process, ensuring any pre-existing project data is available in the site for go-live.
- Repeatable data imports: This type of import supports the regular transfer of data into Verto from another system.
Although there are some key differences between the two import types above, ultimately the quality of the data provided (and its format) is key to the success of the process.
