The following is a summary of the key enhancements delivered in the second release of 2024:
Accessibility Enhancements
- A new accessibility icon has been introduced throughout Verto . This icon appears in various locations and when clicked, will present supporting information on the shortcut keys which can be used to move around one-to-many tables, Text Editors etc.
- There has been an overall improvement in the navigation around the site from the top navigation menu, through into each of the different areas. In some cases this has reduced the number of tabs required significantly.
- Visual focus on fields and interactive elements within the system has been strengthened.
- Dashboard navigation has been improved for keyboard and screen reader users. This ensures that users can move through in a logical manner and access all widgets with data and update the options or filters on a widget.
- Navigation and access to Boards and Feeds has been improved for keyboard and screen reader users. This ensures they can now move through and select all interactive elements.
- There has been an increase in alternative text names that support controls, icons etc to be described to screen reader users or correctly referred to by dictation users.
- Colour contrast has been improved in various areas across the system for example, in Feeds and Dashboard widgets.
Further accessibility information will be added to the Knowledge Hub over the coming weeks.
